Shalom! And happy New Year!
True story: I lu-hove a new year. It’s so bright and full of possibilities! Just long enough to develop into something amazing, and short enough that it requires determination and perseverance to get it all done. Carpe diem – seize the day! #YOLO #YODO
Last year I had a rather meaty to-do list; *surprisingly* I completed most of it! This year, I’ve decided to go extreme. Besides work and tutoring, I’ve no career at the moment and no classes to attend; therefore, I’m considering it “my year off.” Before I join the Air Force. Or get a teaching job – in France and start my masters. Either/or.
If I had an overall theme for this year, it would be: “be brave.” I have big dreams and a lot of fear, so I’d like to eradicate the latter. Or at least embrace it with open arms. Nothing’s off the table.
A nose ring? Always wanted one.
Zip lining? Verily, I say!
Ballet classes? I love humiliating myself!
Ghost hunting! Let’s see if they’re real.
Traipsing across the United Kingdom alone? Don’t tell mom!
Sing in front of people? Let’s not get too carried away.
If it fits within my budget and isn’t illegal or deadly, then hey, ho, let’s go, uncle Joe. #suchpoetry
And as I always say and never do, I’m gonna document all my awkward miss adventures here, down to every strange occurrence and emotional pitfall. It’ll be delightful!
So mazel tov, my fair non-existant readers. Doest thou have any resolutions and/or goals for the new year? Tell me all about it. Or you could – if you actually existed.
